We strive to ensure our guests are happy and get the most from their stay - here's what they're saying about Johnson Cottage

These are some of the lovely comments we have received about our cottage and the area. We thank our guests for taking the time to write of their experiences, either while in the cottage, or afterwards by email - all comments are very much appreciated. And no, we haven't made any of them up!

"The cottage was great and the location fantastic, we loved it around here and a week wasn't long enough to explore everything. The provisions supplied were much appreciated and the decorations for our X-mas stay. All the DVDs and music were great too. Thanks for providing all the details of eateries for our X-mas lunch. We had an excellent meal at the Butcher's Arms, Clearwell - masses to eat, friendly and efficient staff and good atmosphere on X-mas day. We also tried lunch at the Ostrich, real local pub and excellent food. Did walks 10 & 12 in the Lower Wye Rambles book, used the Brockweir shop for the wi-fi and spent half a day in Monmouth. Thanks for being so helpful and accommodating. We will definately recommend the cottage to others. We had a great week in Brockweir and will be recommending it to everyone! PS. Played golf at the Forest Hills Golf Course - nice course."

"Your cottage was wonderful, we had such a nice few days there. We were really lucky with the weather, did lots of walking, as well as sleeping and eating! Was a fantastic holiday and I will definately recommend your cottage to our friends. We are also very keen to come back ourselves in the summer!"

"Thank you for a lovely getaway. We really enjoyed the cottage and wish we could stay longer. Jason is now an expert at the woodburning stove - after a bit of trial and error we got it nice and cosy. Peace, quiet and the views of the horses at HAPPA - perfect. Great selection of books and DVDs and a sumptuous bed to top it all. We're off to adopt some ponies now..."

"Wonderfully situated, extremely comfortable and well-equipped. Great DVD library. Two walks from the door from Lower Wye Rambles book - numbers 10 & 12 - are a delight. Nice welcoming touches of flowers, wine etc. All very well put together and thought through."

"Directions to the cottage were spot on - helpful because we arrived in the dark! Cottage was warm, clean, bright and inviting when we walked in. We lit the log burner as soon as we'd taken our coats off and made coffee. Lovely!! We were impressed and amazed at all the extras - food on arrival (thank you very much), books, DVD's games. Bed was comfy and the bath was a joy. We needed to get away from it all and relax and we really did. We will definitely come again. PS. People in the pub were really welcoming."

"Great cottage - plenty of room, but cosy at the same time - especially with the wood-burning fire - lovely! Everything you need is provided, even dressing gowns and slippers! A lovely, welcome touch is the fresh bread, butter, mile, eggs and wine. Obviously a great deal of thought has gone into this cottage."

"Well, what can we say. We had a fantastic time in the cottage. You made it very homely, it's beautiful. You also spoiled us with the eggs, bacon, sausages, the bottle of wine etc. We didn't expect this at all. We will recommend this place to our friends and we will book again. Thank you very much from the both of us. This was just what we needed."
